Adolescents
The adolescent program is highly intensive and is designed for individuals who are severely distressed or exhibiting dangerous behaviors.
The program focuses on attainable short and long-term goals established with the input of the family and referring professionals. Active family involvement is a vital component of the program and is designed to promote understanding and effective communication.
Because psychiatric problems may be complicated by co-existing substance abuse, Focus By-The-Sea provides specialized groups to help address these issues.
Problems we address:
- Suicide threats
- Dangerous behavior to self or others
- Self-destructive behaviors
- Depression
- Hallucinations and/or delusional thinking
- Severe alcohol or substance abuse
